ReplyDeleteFiona's work i believe is very political as well as mercantilistic, the way she has incorporated money with nature is questioning the value of money and also how money is made. A lot of money in this world has been made of paper and as we all know, paper is made out of wood/trees. Fiona has created this artwork to make the viewer think about how the money is made and how it effects the world.
ReplyDeleteThe birds nests, also made out of money is an artwork that relates to third world countries and Fiona describes this work as how poorer counties have to scavenge for materials to live and survive just as the birds do.
